Welcome to The Majestic Academy of Dance

Majestic Academy of Dance is a warm and friendly academy, where the emphasis is on having fun and making friends. The quality of teaching is to a high standard and we take pride in our 100% exam pass rate.

The Majestic Academy of Dance ‘M.A.D’ originally called The Dee-en School of Dance, was founded in 1979. Based in Hadleigh Essex the school opened its doors with Diane Everett and Karen Ives, who together for 10 years helped towards building the school.

In the year 2000, the school underwent a few changes, Ema Jane Grabowski and Diane Everett became partners and changed the school’s name. We pride ourselves in being fully qualified, registered teachers and ‘disclosure barring service’ checked. We have been helping students grow and develop ever since.

The Academy has build up a good reputation for high grades in examinations in all areas of dance and singing, with a record of a 100% success rate. With disciplines taught in ballet, tap, modern, Jazz, singing and general conditioning .The academy caters to all ages and abilities.

The Majestic Academy prides its self that all classes remain fun and in a happy environment. We provide pupils with the skills needed to become successful dancers and performers.

Meet the Staff

Diane Everett

Associate of Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (Tap), Associate of Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (Modern), and Advanced Member of the Royal Academy of Dance (Ballet).

I trained at the Juno School of Dance, Wickford, progressing to the Andrew Hardie School of Dance in South Kensington. After two years training I joined the renowned Bush Davies College in Romford during which time I also attended the Royal Academy of Dance at their Headquarters in Battersea.

Ema Jane Grabowski

Associate of Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (Tap), Associate of Imperial Society of Dancing (Modern).

I have been dancing since the age of 6 years, coached by Miss Diane Everett. Since the early years i have achieved excellent exam results throughout the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing syllabus (ISTD). After attending college and obtaining A levels at the age of 18 years, I decided to follow my dreams in becoming a dance teacher.

Jade Salter

I started dancing at Majestic at the age of 5 and with them I have completed all my graded exams in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz.

I have also participated in many shows and competitions. Including dancing in Disneyland Paris and at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London. I studied Dance at College and have gained a Higher National Diploma.

Ruth Dorrington

Ruth Dorrington

LTCL (DIst.) – Licentiate of Trinity College, London with Distinction.

I have been singing on the stage since the age of four, initially taught by Madame Freda Parry OBE and latterly by Clara Roberts. They took me through all my ABRSM singing grades and teaching examinations, auditions, Opera work, festivals and numerous concerts and shows.

Lauren Wells Dance

Before returning to the Majestic Academy of Dance Lauren’s After graduating from the Majestic Academy Lauren gained a BA Honours degree in Dance and Professional Practice.

Her previous dance training was with Dancebox studios and theatre works. During this time she was teaching and was dance captain to the principle.

Carla Conley

Associate of Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (Tap), Associate of Imperial Society of Dancing (Modern).

I started dancing at the age of 7 with Miss Diane Everett then attended Susan Stephens School of Dance prior to obtaining a place at Performers College, where I studied for 3 years.
